Questions:
Do I Need a Nurse After Plastic Surgery?
While every patient’s recovery needs are different, many plastic surgery patients benefit greatly from having professional post-operative support during the first hours and days after surgery. Procedures such as Mommy Makeovers, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, and breast surgeries can temporarily limit mobility, increase discomfort, and make routine tasks more difficult during early recovery.
A private post-operative Registered Nurse can provide assistance with mobility, medication reminders, comfort measures, monitoring, wound and drain care support, and overall recovery coordination while helping patients feel safe, supported, and less overwhelmed during the healing process. Many patients also find peace of mind knowing an experienced RN is available to recognize concerns early and assist with communication when needed.
Can your nurses stay overnight after surgery?

Yes. Opulent Concierge Nursing specializes in overnight post-operative nursing care for plastic surgery patients recovering at home, in hotels, or in private recovery suites. Many patients choose overnight nursing support following procedures such as Mommy Makeovers, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, and breast surgeries to help provide comfort, safety, and peace of mind during the critical first night after surgery.
Our experienced Registered Nurses can assist with mobility and positioning, medication reminders, comfort measures, recovery monitoring, drain care support, hydration encouragement, and caregiver communication while helping patients feel supported throughout the recovery process. Overnight care is one of the most requested services we provide and is designed to help patients rest and recover more comfortably after surgery.
How long should I have help after surgery?

The amount of support needed after plastic surgery varies depending on the procedure, overall health, mobility, and whether a caregiver will be present during recovery. Many patients benefit most from professional assistance during the first 24–72 hours after surgery, as this is typically when mobility limitations, discomfort, fatigue, and medication schedules are most significant.
Procedures such as Mommy Makeovers, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, and combined cosmetic surgeries often require additional recovery support during the early healing period. Overnight nursing care can provide assistance with mobility, positioning, medication reminders, recovery monitoring, comfort measures, and caregiver education while helping patients feel safe, supported, and more comfortable throughout recovery.
At Opulent Concierge Nursing, we work with each patient individually to help determine the level and duration of support that best fits their recovery needs.
Can your nurses transport me home from the surgery center?

Yes. Opulent Concierge Nursing provides post-operative transportation support for plastic surgery patients recovering at home, in hotels, or in private recovery suites. Many surgery centers do not permit patients to leave alone in an Uber or rideshare service following anesthesia or sedation, making it important to arrange safe, reliable post-operative transportation in advance.
Our experienced Registered Nurses can accompany patients from the surgery center to their recovery destination while providing comfort, assistance, and post-operative support during transport. During transportation, our nurses may assist with mobility, positioning, comfort measures, and overall recovery support to help patients arrive safely and comfortably at their recovery location.
Transportation from the surgery center is included for destinations within one hour of the surgical facility throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and Charleston area. Extended-distance transportation may also be available for an additional fee depending on location and scheduling availability.

Can I recover alone?

While every recovery experience is different, many plastic surgery patients are strongly encouraged to have professional support during the first 24–72 hours after surgery for both safety and comfort. Procedures such as Mommy Makeovers, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, and combined cosmetic surgeries can temporarily limit mobility, increase fatigue, affect balance, and make routine activities more difficult during early recovery.
Following anesthesia and surgery, patients may require assistance with walking, standing, repositioning, hydration, medication schedules, restroom assistance, and overall recovery monitoring during the critical first night after surgery. Many surgery centers also require patients to have a responsible adult present after discharge and will not permit patients to recover entirely alone immediately following surgery.
At Opulent Concierge Nursing, our experienced Registered Nurses provide attentive post-operative support focused on patient safety, comfort, and early recognition of potential concerns during recovery. Having professional nursing support available during the initial stages of healing can provide valuable peace of mind for both patients and their loved ones while helping patients feel more comfortable, supported, and secure throughout recovery.
